The Garden of the Gods Story
The International Health & Wellness Center at Garden of the Gods Club brings personalized diagnostics and science-based clinical care together with farm-to-table nutrition, spa treatments, exercise, and learning. Our challenge was to give these varied activities a coherent home, welcoming shared experiences while protecting the quieter, more personal moments of care.
We organized the building to give each activity its place: room to gather below, a welcoming arrival at ground level, and more private settings for personal care above.
Shared meeting and training spaces occupy the lower level, where the prefunction lobby receives welcoming south sun and looks out onto a resort pool and the meditation fireplace.
The ground floor above provides a buffer between meeting activity below and the more private spaces on the upper floors. Here, the main reception area, refreshment bar, and administrative offices form a welcoming point of arrival. An inviting staircase connects reception to the upper level.
The salon, clinic offices, and spa occupy the upper floors, giving personal care a more private setting. Carefully sized and placed windows frame sweeping views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Within the spa, steam and salt therapy rooms provide opportunities for therapeutic relaxation.
From south sun in the meeting lobby to mountain views in the spaces for personal care, the architecture connects well-being to the everyday experience of place.
